The fatal flaw of the Liberal ethos

The liberal ethos of the last thirty years has gone from the mindset of a helping hand to that of an overprotective mother. The political agenda, if you will, of your common liberal is to seek a way to help others through the use of government programs designed to assist those in need. This is seen as a direct cousin of the normal use of a federal system of government. This is good for everybody because we live in a symbiotic relationship with everyone in our country and when the poor have advantages to get ahead that is good for everyone. It keeps the poor from looking for other advantages for one thing. The liberal remembers that all was not perfect when we started this country and many people were disadvantaged during this time. It is with a sense of pride that a liberal wants to help others because most people realize that hard work is only one part of success, luck and circumstance being others.

So the liberal helps, but they want to help their way. They know what’s best because they sat down and thought about it so it must be right. And that’s the biggest problem with the liberal ethos. For example, perhaps a liberal sees in his life no use for a gun, for some reason he thinks this is how everyone should feel, and born is the gun control movement.

This mindset was a perfect match for the overzealous PC movement that has forever changed the way people talk and act.
